Rowing is one of the oldest sports still from ancient Egypt and Rome. Rowing ancient cultures as a means of transportation used. Rowing competitive contests began in 1829 between Oxford and Cambridge on the River Thames.

Rowing Sports is noble, graceful and elegant. Rowing activity is considered the ultimate aerobic activity for running all parts of the body while integrating most muscle groups. Rowing athlete are considered outstanding by combining endurance, strength, balance and mental discipline.
 

Oars participate Olympic Games as individual, couples or in groups of 4 and 8 oars. The outriggers allow the oars to be secured away from the side of the boat, provided more leverage and stability, and therefore leading to the boats themselves becoming narrower and more streamlined.  The oars use a sliding seat on a rail.   

The club was founded in 1935 by Jews from Berlin who managed to escape the Nazism and to bring to Israel rowing boats which were in their possession. The club has become dominant and successful in the country while most members of the Israeli team came from this club. The club is located on the south side of Hayarkon river.
 

Club members represent the club and Israel with dignity and great achievements in countless competitions in Israel and abroad. In between club members enjoy the pastoral balcony overlooking the river. This atmosphere combined together sometimes familial group of 3 generations.

The club aims association policies fit for 75 years are primarily at fostering sports especially rowing athlete. The club welcomes children and youth with sports affiliation, will power and discipline and supports them developing their personal and sport aspects. 
 

Annual subscription cost of about NIS 3000 allows the use of club equipment and facilities, participation in tournaments according to the quality of results. Most of all enjoying the unique atmosphere of the club resulted the tradition of 75 years of achievements and experiences aplenty.
